Begrudgingly, I guess there's something to all of that. I still can't stomach the pretension of the whole brand though.
It had its ups and its downs, its good points and bad points. The Playboy interviews routinely ran over 7,000-8,000 words, which allowed them a depth few other mediums engaged in on important topics with people like Martin Luther King, Betty Davis and Steve Jobs. And it had some really great stories from towering figures in literature.
