So is Kim dead or not? I hear S. Korea officials say he is alive and well. How come he doesn't just show his face if he's that well. Any speculation?

I would speculate that he may be dead, or, in his immunocompromised recovery from heart surgery, he's hiding from the virus.
And of course doesn't want to say so because ... there are reportedly "no cases" of covid in N Korea, or none that he wants to admit to.
