  I would say that 90% of people only care about things which affect them personally.

There is absolutely NO WAY to quantify this.  I often find righty people to be practical but to really resent the idea of altruism in others.

Not necessarily.  Also I'll be taxme has used social programs more than me, based on his spelling alone.
