Canadian Politics Today

I was going to put this in a PM but then decided I'd put it here and see what others thought. I every now and then drop into that "other" site and was just there and once again it made me appreciative of having this site to come back to. We seem lucky enough not to have to deal with incessant trolls like B_C, or alt. right conservatives like westcanman, or nitwit racists's like taxme.We have our disagreements, we have thread drifts, sometimes we even type curse words into replies, (I know I've been guilty of all the above) but we also don't have Mein Furher Charles Anthony ready to throw you into the cooler for a couple of weeks because you spoke out against his weirdo right wing biases.
As a result I would say this place, and the people in it, do a pretty good job of keeping the train pretty close to being on the tracks, and not because they fear they will get their fingers slapped. Perhaps that's why this place is so busy.

I could try and getting back in touch with my old grade 10 history teacher....oh no wait, you said "rational".

This place has been pretty quiet since I pissed Argus off, and I notice that cyber hasn't been here for quite a while either.  It isn't my intention to scare anyone away, so I'm hoping some of these people come back.  Differences of opinion are great, and no one is going to be suspended or banned for them.

How did you come to **** off argus? Maybe it's because we all saw through who sj was so quickly. He seems to be happy over yonder where xenophobia is much more welcomed, and there are folks even further to the right (Trump lovers like B-C for example) he can attempt to chastise.

We need more right-of-centres here.  Kimmy isn't fascist nor racist enough.    I KID !

SJ contacted me privately after we clashed over the Eliza Dushku thing. He was quite upset that I'd told him to "do a backflip into an empty pool". We patched things up, but he'd told me that he'd grown tired of the tone here-- constant personal attacks and hostility directed at him-- and decided he just wasn't having fun participating here anymore.
