I'm not sure there even is such a thing as misogyny.
Of course you're not. You don't even think there's such thing as racism or bigotry either. Women have spilled countless amounts of ink on misogyny in our culture, but you don't think it's real. Unbelievable.

I think maybe he is quibbling over the descriptor "hate".   Someone who thinks a woman should stay home, make sandwiches and fetch beer, and have sex with him whenever he feels like probably doesn't "hate" women.  Somebody who thinks women are on a par with dogs and cattle probably doesn't "hate" women, in fact he probably loves dogs and cattle as well.

It's like homophobes quibbling over the term "homophobia" because they don't "fear" gays, they just hate them.

Regardless it's a pretty pointless diversion.

In Germany sex work is legal and regulated.
They also have welfare programs that require recipients to take "any available" job for which they are qualified.
The had to modify the latter to ensure the government was not forcing women into ****.

This example illustrates why sex work will never be a "normal job" with no stigma.

That said, police have a obligation to investigate all crimes and should be trained to deal with their personal biases that come from social stigmas.

It may not be strange but it's wrong to see social attributes as signs of personal value.

Arguably true, yet society has always done so.
Trump is far from the only rich guy to insist on having a beautiful young wife on his arm. It's practically routine. And these are the people you would imagine would already have enough sense of personal value to not care about such things.

It's only pointless if you believe motivation is unimportant. And motivation is only unimportant if you dismiss any possibility of dealing with it.  And one could say the same about 'homophobes' too.

If your only ambition is simply to denigrate them and point out how awful they are, then yes, it's pointless.

Point me to a case of misogyny which is derived from dislike of women and I'll reconsider. The only people I recall reading about who actually disliked women were those with severe emotional/psychological problems usually derived from parenting issues.

It's only 'unbelievable' to you because you have a set of sacred beliefs and are appalled anyone would question your assumptions.

Depends how you define "personal value" Trump may have a hefty bank account but the constant rants he goes on and his bullying approach to things indicate to me he's personally rather insecure. And of course I don't see why you would think a man who has a few bucks in the bank should all of a sudden stop being interested in beauty.

I've never considered your premise before, but perhaps you have a point - misogyny can most certainly be bred out of power trippin'........ :-\

But I think there is a bit of woman-hate in there, too.

I think, in this particular case, it's more like alienation, and the resentment someone who believes he has been rejected feels towards those who rejected him. If one truly didn't like women then one would not seek out their company or companionship. Sex, as has been pointed out, can be had from those who sell it.

Why should I bother? You don't even believe it exists. If you can't even understand the examples given to you by women themselves all over the internet, there's not a damn thing I or anyone else here can post that will open your eyes.

This is a straw man.  Iíve never said to treat them like immoral garbage, nor have I said society should.  I simply pointed out that we make value judgements about people all the time, even Kimmy!  Who confirmed this in her post about not dating religious leaders.   I doubt she treats them as immoral garbage either.

I have stated it, and you are unable to disprove my statement or provide any examples.

I win. ;D

And my point is that youíre changing the terms of the OP. Itís not about who you want to date. Itís about social stigma, not individual prejudice.
