Donut problems aside, Chris Christie is scum. I can't think of many political scandals more offensive to me on a personal level than "Bridge-gate".

I'm disappointed in Christie as, years ago, I thought he might be a decent guy, a Republican who could actually work with others.

I think Ontario's little known scandals are worse, though. The Liberals doing a deal to temporarily lower electricity rates so they won't cost them as many votes in the election next year - at a long term cost to taxpayers of $21 BILLON is much worse, imo. I mean, twenty one billion down the toilet just so the Liberals could look good in the runup to an election? Talk about a huge waste of resources!

There are far bigger scandals than Bridge-gate. There are much better examples of greed, or corruption, or incompetence than Bridge-gate.  In fact maybe that's what annoys me so much about Bridge-gate (other than the name "Bridge-gate")...  just that it was so utterly pointless and petty and stupid.

Here's a guy who goes out and deliberately inflicts hardship on the citizens of a town of 50,000 people, because he had a beef with their mayor.  Really?!?  People couldn't get to work... school buses were stuck on roads all day, emergency vehicles were stuck in traffic, the whole town was paralyzed. Why?  Because Chris Christie was mad that the mayor of Fort Lee didn't endorse his re-election campaign.  That's just utterly retarded. To inflict that kind of aggravation on all those people because of something so petty... the sheer assholery of it is almost beyond belief. If it was motivated by greed or personal gain, I could at least understand it... but motivated by just malice over a petty personal grudge, it just seems so utterly juvenile.

That's worse than the Liberals Hydro bill shifting but far better than the gas plant cancellation.

The gas plant was almost identical to the hydro shifting except lower in scale. Both demonstrate they don't care about spending truly massive amounts of taxpayer dollars to help their election chances.

You could argue that taxpayers wanted to spread the pain over a longer timeframe... I suppose.

But... yes.

This is small and petty, but I couldn't stop laughing.  30 things Steve Bannon looks like:

https://www.inverse.com/article/27285-steve-bannon-looks-like-memes

"Steve Bannon looks like a Greyhound bus smells."

"Steve Bannon looks like the only dude at a party who remains calm when the hooker dies."

"Steve Bannon looks like somebody you'd see screaming at a kids football game despite not being a coach or knowing any of the kids."
