The Squid went inland! 2 weeks this summer in the East Kootenays fly fishing and catching (and release) trout.
Camping in the boonies!
My takeaways:
If there was another place I could live, it would be the East Kootenays.
Rossland is a great little town with great people.
Fernie is too.
Sparwood is not, nor is Trail.
Fat cutthroats and huge bull trout were the attractions.

But…. My Island has some amazing cutthroat trout fishing too…. If you know where to look. I caught this guy on the weekend.
