After a long, hot summer where the lakes have been too warm and some gates leading into the backcountry have been shut due to the fire risk, we are heading out to our favourite secret fishing spot. This lake has a steep and moderately difficult canoe launch with some current you have to paddle out of quickly, so it doesn’t get much fishing pressure.
And the trout are big and plentiful! At least last time…. Let’s not jinx it!
