Of the Best Picture nominees, so far I've seen:
“Darkest Hour” - 7.5/10 - WWII & Churchill hard to go wrong, solid but not a great movie
“Get Out” - 9.5/10 - fantastic film, best of 2017 I've seen
“Lady Bird” - 6.5/10 - meh, mildy entertaining
“Call Me by Your Name” - 5/10 - horrible movie, annoying characters (great scenery though), and nothing to do with the homosexual theme because Brokeback Mountain is one of my all-time fav movies. Artsy BS.
“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” - 8.5/10 - very entertaining, although a little too "preachy social justicey".
Want to see soon:
“Dunkirk”
“The Post”
Not much interest seeing:
“Phantom Thread” (though PT Anderson is a cool director)
“The Shape of Water”
Logan should have been nominated, one of the best 3 films I saw for 2017 (although too violent, and I'm a UFC fan!) - 9/10
