I've been working my way through the complete works of Frank King's Gasoline Alley comic strip, which takes place in real time. It follows Skeezix from when he was a baby in 1922 and watches him grow. The strip is still published today, so he's in his nineties now (only the third artist since the beginning though, I think). Anyway, I'm up to 1937, and the most notable old-timey way of talking I found is saying you should do something when you think you shouldn't. Like "I should care what you think!" or "I should worry!"
I think that way of talking was still around when I was a kid, but it's pretty much gone now.
But yeah, 100% easy.
