Actually a really good game. High scoring, decided by a field goal with 11 seconds remaining.

Didn't watch but did they really run a Pat Tillman tribute that glossed over the whole "getting merked by friendly fire, possibly on purpose" thing?

Mahomes is so awesome.  My fave player is his rival but Mahomes makes the case for getting the most respect just from his dogged efforts.

Did you see him make that run late in the 4th on his ankle.  Damn what a player.

I really feel that he deserves the win.

It's that time of year again!  When the greatest league and the greatest sport starts up again.  Lions/Chiefs will start off the season on Thursday night.  Could be a high scoring affair, and the Chiefs get their superbowl rings before the game.

Lots of great story lines, Aaron Rodgers with the Jets, a possible Chiefs dynasty, the ongoing saga of the Dallas Cowboys, will Joe Burrow and the Bengals challenge Kansas City?  Will the Lions actually be good?  Can Brock Purdy repeat his early success last year with San Francisco?  Will the Eagles dominate again?  Can Josh Allen and Stephon Diggs get along in Buffalo?

Yep.. although the Bills' super bowl window is indeed closing they will contend again this year.

Lots of stories, lots of jaw-dropping action.. and something to get us through to February.

I really only started watching avidly the last 3 years, and I can't say my wife seems thrilled with this...

I think the Bill’s window is as long as Josh Allen is healthy.

How to manage to watch...

That's a tricky one.

I don't follow Pass the Egg at all, but I did see this cartoon in the Guardian, by a fellow who usually draws cartoons about real football.

Is it any good?  I wouldn't know.

Good game, especially that 4th quarter.  Both coaches made some questionable calls and went for it on 4th down when I didn't think it was necessary.  Good drama though.

Aaron Rodgers torn achilles, 3 plays into the game.  Out for the season, and at his age, maybe the end of his career.
