Mother !

This was an extended surrealistic nightmare of Motherhood, bad guests, uncaring husbands, random d-bags and REALLY BAD GUESTS !

Although I kind of loved it, it wasn't really 'scary' or affecting at all.  It was just strange.

Darren Aronofsky's movies often have gnostic undertones.  Mother did.  So did Noah.

Snowpiercer and Cloud Atlas - also gnostic leanings.

I was considering starting a new topic called “Amazon Prime” recommendations, but i figured it’s not too much thread-drift for the Netflix topic.

The Man in the High Castle.  It’s a dystopian series about what the USA would look like if the Reich had won WWII.   Takes place in the 60’s.  USA has been divided up between the Nazis and the Japanese Empire.  Produced by Ridley Scott and based on a novel by Phillip K. Dick.

Interesting stuff.  Not a happy place to be.  20 years on from the war and a generation has never known freedom.  The Nazis and Japanese have pacified the population to a large extent, but there’s a resistance fighting back of course.  Worth a watch.

At first it seemed like an innocent question, but when you put the winky-face after it, it seemed like you were making a nudge nudge wink wink joke and I assumed it was directed at me, because of reasons.

While a tv show about women having sex with each other in prison does sound pretty interesting, I actually haven't watched it.
