Honestly, Michael, don't watch it if you don't want to watch it. I already know how this is going to go.  You're going to watch like 20 minutes of it, and give up, and tell us that you couldn't get into it because "space ships aren't real" or something like that, and then you're going to be mad at us for talking you into watching something you didn't like.

Given your inclinations, maybe you just won't be able to get past the setting. But as I've said here several times before, fantastical settings and premises can be a powerful way of exploring moral dilemmas or our world or even ourselves.
