I really have watched it over and over. It has the discipline of Shakespeare's iambic pentameter in that every word fits, both rhythmically and in rhyme. It has brilliant rhymes and melodies and themes for each character. I could go on.

"Through all the bleeding and fighting, I've been reading and writing..."
"What are the odds the gods would put us all in one spot? A bunch of revolutionary manumission abolitionists, give me a position, show me where the ammunition is."

If you like Shakespeare then we are brothers.

What made you want to see it ?

I'm a little intrigued now.  I don't generally like musicals but the ones that move me are at the top of my list of faves.  The Les Miserables that came out awhile back with Crowe, Hathaway and Jackman did it for me.
