Flying Culture
« on: March 27, 2019, 02:57:05 pm »
Received a suggestion that this perhaps belongs in a "flying culture" thread so why not. Anybody else had odd things happen on the way to wherever?
You know, like thinking you were going to Germany but ended up in Scotland.

turbulence, obnoxious passengers, canceled or delayed flights, missed connections, lost baggage, aborted landing and go around, etc.

but never, NEVER, have I ended up in the wrong airport.

I think flying a plane would be the greatest fun.

I ended up "visiting" Rome one time on my way to London from Malabo in west Africa. It wasn't due to a faulty flight plan but real shyte weather at LHR. Two hours sitting on the tarmac is the sum total of my experience visiting Italy. I love their wine in any case.

Ask any pilot and I bet no matter how old and grey they may be, I bet one thing still fresh in their mind will be their first solo.

I have never had a bucket list but if I did this would be the only thing.
