I was just spying over yonder and it seems as long as you are a far right nitwit you can thread drift 'till the cows come home and Herr fuhrer CA doesn't mind. What a swamp that place has become. Thanks again JMT.

Hey guess what, according to Betsy it is Justin Trudeau's fault the Iranians shot down the Ukrainian flight yesterday. I love to log in for a good laugh every once in awhile. Never fail to get one.

I'm surprised to hear that happens in Canada as well as the States. I had (previously) assumed that was a result of the polarization of our political system south of the 48th parallel.

The world seems to be getting more polarized in general. You see the same kind of thing from the left in Canada, many of whom characterize all conservatives as knuckle dragging neanderthals. Moderation seems not to be in vogue these days.

They're polarized on a few specific issues (i.e., immigration of brown people, taxation of the extremely rich, whether abortion should be legal , whether gay people should be accepted, and the point at which an individual should be restricted in the firepower they accumulate). Otherwise, they're pretty much the same.

They are the same in that they are intrenched in their views.

For the most part the equivalence of Fox news. BC and others would be shouting USA, USA, USA and supporting Trump even if he got caught **** a goat it seems, so you can see the parallel.

Even though I don't post here much I do read the threads from time to time.  But MLW, I hadn't even visited in years until I saw this thread and I remembered its festering existence.

Yikes, what a **** show.  I kinda wish I'd let that memory die.

Trump receives some very strong support from a number of the folks over there. Tells you a fair bit about the place I'd say.

Like people always getting steamed over Trump's tweets.  Like any troll, he's just in it for lulz.

He's the President. He rightfully is held to a higher standard than an anonymous internet troll who's pretending to be a little old lady evangelical Christian.

I know, I agree.  But this is what the people voted for.  They literally voted for the troll of all online trolls.
