I know, I agree.  But this is what the people voted for.  They literally voted for the troll of all online trolls.

Um nope. The people voted for Hillary. The EC voted for Trump. F'ed up system for sure.

It could also be said that 'the people voted for Scheer', who won the popular vote, but the first-past-the-post system f'kd it up.
Gives pause for thought ... !

And I'm starting to think Proportional Representation, which would rob the populists of their ability to sneak into power as they can under FPTP, is the way to go.  Anti-democratic brute force as it is, I think it may be necessary until we smarten up about being a public again.

We throw everything into the same pot. Are people voting for or against a leader or a party? We don't know because our system makes it the same thing. By separating the executive from the legislative, the US system makes it possible to do both, .

Um, I have often voted for an MP who did not represent the party I expected or even wanted to take power federally so I would disagree with your "we don't know" concept.

Sure we know personally but there is no way of knowing what motivated the public in general because you can't separate party from an individual when it comes to a leader.

The only people who voted for Scheer are the people in his riding. We don’t vote for a PM. This is t the United States. We are a constitutional monarchy.

Just took a look over at MLW. Hilarious how the hard core right wing red necks there still suck up to Trump after his his lie ridden, day time TV show style, STOU speech. Rush Limbaugh is now an American hero.

Anybody looked over their shoulder at MLW lately? Quite a lot of struggles going on to try and rally 'round Trump. Hilarious as usual.

One of the usual suspects over yonder now thinks that the Corona issue is some sort of conspiracy theory and there's some sort of reason he can't put his finger on as to why it is focused on Italy. Probably still sticking to the idea no planes hit the World Trade Center as well. It's good that MLW provides a sand box for those types.

Omni, i'm very concerned, you seemed to be trapped inside your own political bubble.  Guys, please come and help me get Omni out of there.  He's trapped!  Hurry, he's running out of air!

I haven't looked at MLW for quite some time. I imagine I'm missing out on the latest insider info on super-science projects that will make Turkey the globe's foremost superpower.

I'm convinced half these people on these types of forums have some kind of mental illness.

Sorry to have pointed criticism toward your sandbox. Maybe head over there and let us know what's the latest on the Corona virus cause. Maybe something to do with Turkey as Kimmy mentioned.
