You’re correct.  Many people lead unhealthy lifestyles.   Have these people lifted a finger at to change it?  To eat healthy and exercise?  Nope.  They prefer telling other people what to do.  What to wear, to stay home, to not go to school, to shut down their businesses.  Their sole act of taking any responsibility for their health is to sit their ass in a chair and get jabbed with a needle.  That’s as selfish as it gets.  Regardless, we do know how the virus will react with the vast majority of people.  It will be just like the flu.  Your citing of extreme circumstances is no different than an anti-vaxxer citing similar circumstances of harm from vaccines.  Somebody dying from covid after being fully vaccinated is lower than the odds of dying in a car accident.  Covid spreads through vaccinated people as well.  So blaming unvaccinated for covid spreading is unscientific.  It’s all based on emotion.  Covid isn’t going away, just like the flu isn’t going away.  I’m sorry that you were led to believe otherwise. My suggestion for you is look at the data, and you’ll feel much better about things.

I'm sorry you're too stupid to understand that endemic Covid will still require changes to the status quo ante.

Of course.  High risk people will probably want to get a covid shot before flu season like people get flu shots.

Or things like school closures will be a regular feature as people continue to get sick even with "mild" COVID.
