You don't understand instinctively why forcing yourself into an intersection where you have no designated lane might be dangerous?

Maybe if someone is turning right ahead of me ...

If blaming BC's homeless problem on a stunt Ralph Klein pulled 25 years ago makes you feel better, then go for it... but most of the deadbeats and creeps and scumbags I see around town were only old enough to be riding school-buses at the time.

He used the left turn lane as a passing lane to blow through an intersection. That's ridiculously dangerous. He deserved worse than a box of fries in the face. He deserved a god damn Kim City ass-whoopin.

Yeah, but his truck looks just like mine!  And who could side with someone who drives a "RAM"?

Really ?  How so ?  I may have actually done this in the past.

Really?

Someone who owns one, like me but that's not the reason why. The guy in the Ford was just an irresponsible **** pulling that stunt. Aside from it just being anal, someone coming the other way planing to use its left turn lane would expect the Ford to be turning left not continuing straight ahead into the lane he was about to use.

I don't blame the camera operator for not following them to find out what happened next.

I am betting 15 minutes of two guys shouting "Come at me, bro!" at each other.

I don't blame them either and I guess if it didn't make the evening news it didn't amount to much.

I hate Kim City.  It’s a dump.  Rednecks and bikers abound.  While there are amazing sights and plenty of great wineries nearby, the town itself is a shithole.  Vernon to the north and Pentocton to the south are much more pleasant.

Don't know about the dump part but I agree that Penticton and Vernon are now more livable cities in comparison. Didn't used to be but the Coquihalla changed everything.

So did Alberta oil patch people discovering it from the other direction.

True but the Kim City area has exploded in comparison with the southern valley. Before the Coq, Kim City was over a six hour drive from Vancouver, you had to take HWY 3 to Kaleden, then go through Penticton and Summerland.

Hey kimmy, when I lived in Edmonton during the seventies it seemed like every second pickup had a gun rack in the back window. Is it still like that?

Those are quaint little villages.   They haven't grown nearly as quickly, and haven't had the same kind of pressures either.  Would it be nicer to live there than here? I dunno, maybe?  I probably wouldn't have a job if I did, though.

This city has grown very rapidly and changed a lot, even in the 11 years I've been here.

I can't recall ever seeing a gun-rack in a pickup truck in Edmonton.  Even my northern Alberta relatives-- and they're gun-rack type people-- don't have gun-racks in their new trucks. I'm sure they still drive around with guns, but they probably just huck everything on the back seat.

Everytime I'm back in Edmonton I recognize it less and less. The neighborhoods where I lived as a kid are strangely untouched by time, but the city as a whole is so much larger and busier than I remember it being.

I kinda like it down here on the coast. The few gun racks you see are holding fishing rods.
