Should we disband the Boy Scouts organization ?

People seem to hate the Catholic Church for hiding their abuse of children, so I'm wondering if that's actually rooted in the crimes or something else.

The Boy Scouts banned them from being members and participating when they found out.
The Catholic Church hid their molesters away from prosecution and being held responsible for molesting children.
