If it has gotten to the point where minority activist groups are complaining about the actual word "white" used in any context (in this case a metaphor for a snowstorm),
I looked at the pictures in the article, and don't see "pointed hoodies" that remind me of "anything". Yes, it sounds like she has gone overboard.
