Yes, that and the Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller are sites we have often visited.

Well I'm the trouble maker from you know where.  I left because of the moderation. The suspensions me, deleting of posts, warnings etc that are arbitrarily given out. If it starts to happen to her I'll be gone but so far from the comments I've read that won't happen.

I'm from southwestern Ontario but am living in Victoria after stints on the lower mainland, mostly Vancouver (which I love). Also lived in Abbotsford, Mission, Maple Ridge (my backyard neighbours included bears and owls).

I work in the IT industry with mostly men but I'm working on changing that.

How long were you in the IT industry? I think the first company I joined had 1 female (secretary) and about 12 guys in our office, I was only there a year and we grew to about 20 total but the ratio didn't improve. The second was much larger, and the office I was in had about 60 people total and the only females I remember were secretaries, reception, HR, and finance (about 10 total, better ratio but still bad); the first female hired into the technical side was after I was there for about 2 years. Today's IT industry is nothing like the dark ages of the 70's/80's.

Well I started out in the IT industry in the late 80's when there were far more women.  I don't know know what has happened. I used to work with many women in this industry.

I'm still posting on the old site. Why wouldn't I? As long as there is decent conversation. I would actually prefer one site to two. Someone asked me to pm Greg about my concerns with moderation today, so while I don't know how much, if any good it will do, I did so.

What was your handle there if you don't mind me asking?

I think we are all wondering that one. We have some guesses, but it would be interesting to find out. I have always used the same (within the restriction of the specific software) identity on all public forums so people could tell who I am, but I respect if someone wants to change their persona. I am not that thrilled by the few posters out there that run multiple persona's on the same board.

I know who he is based on some clues, but I'm not going to spill the beans.

I don't know if you figured it out but I'm BC_chick.  ;)

And yeah, I've had the same handle since the late 90's but I've totally outgrown it now that I'm a middle-aged working professional and some unfortunate person's mother.

I asked CA if he'd let me change it and he said yes but before it got changed I went into my self-imposed exile.

You're actually doing awfully well on the other site as far as rep is concerned.  I have a few left to give away, I'm going to see if I can't put you over Betsy.

Also, I notice you're all scared to like the post where I called out Greg.

We made up, btw.
