I've seen one of those Tatras at a show. Might have been that car. Good chance I would think.

We had one of these. Same colour even. In 72 we took it down 101 from Vancouver to LA and back. We had a 66 as well. Loved those little cars. Couldn't beat them when it came to fun per dollar.

Asking over 15,000 pounds. The were less than $2500 new.

The one I ran into (figuratively, luckily) looked just like the one in the video. No paint just highly polished steel. Aluminum, air cooled rear engine tells you maybe aviation people were involved in the design. Buddy also turned the headlights on and showed me how the center one was connected to the steering wheel to help you see around corners at night.

I found this interesting. It's from South Africa, and shows a couple of cars of security people taking down a stolen car with occupants. These are NOT police. Apparently, crime is so out of control in South Africa and police are so overwhelmed that heavily armed private security groups have sprung up and hunt down carjackers and thieves with tracking devices on behalf of their clients. They have flashing lights on their cars, and sometimes sirens (though they're not supposed to) and are armed with hand guns, shotguns and automatic weapons. There are a number of these videos, some of them showing them in car chases speeding wildly through the streets in powerful cars.

A good conversation between Ben Shapiro (he who shall never be allowed to speak, according to the SJWs) and Sam Harris (also who shouldn't be allowed to speak....   despite having polar opposite views of someone like Ben Shapiro)

Interesting NFB Cartoon about Canada's problems in the 1970s.  So little changes, however you can spot a few reasons it has been hard to find this if you watch all 13 minutes.

Dang, that sounds like the one I have been looking for. I remember it well from the 70's, it played at Man and His World. I'm on cell service at the moment, so will check it out tomorrow. One question should answer if it is the one I think, is there a frenchman asking for work several times in French and then finally returns and say "any work"?

Dude.  I also have been looking for this after seeing it at (I think) man and his world or Ontario Place.  Yes this is it.  Watch the whole thing and you will know why it was kept at arm's length.

Here's a scene I remembered:

I certainly will. I remember thinking it was hilarious, I would have been around 12 at the time.

I can tell you exactly where it played at Man and His World. It would be in the lower level of the Man the Explorer Pavilion on Île St-Hélène. There was a revolving theatre that during Expo'67 showed the film Polar Life. For a couple of years they didn't show that film, and didn't revolve the theatre but used one part of it for the Propaganda Message film. Above the theatre was the "Strange Strange World" pavilion. I didn't remember seeing the Polar Life film during Expo'67 (I was 7, so remember only a little from then), but liked it when it returned.

Lou Reed - weird computer "graphics" video ... from the 1989 album New York.  I remember the record, and the single which like almost all Lou Reed work did NOT hit.

I saw this link and decided right away to post it here, but then watched it and couldn't believe how crappy it was even for 1989.  Not only that, the song seems to me to be pretty fake "street" stuff.  Lou had some great songs, and was hugely influential but I am starting to get pretty bored with New York's excessive influence on our culture...

Jonathan Haidt is an entertaining speaker who can even make economics seem interesting. In this talk in Zurich he explains two opposing views of Capitalism, and how our own internal views make us see what we want to see and believe what reinforces our own beliefs. He explains why it's hard to reach consensus on moral issues, and a possible middle path for Capitalism with less exploitation.

Well, I really enjoyed that although I didn't learn much.  His call for 3rd way liberal capitalism is pretty much where I have been politically.  What's odd to me is that you are promoting this and I am learning about it from you rather than the other way around.

Did you note at the end where he says that if we don't "demonize" each other ? It's at 23:21.  That part sounds more like something I would say.

The key to achieving the 3rd way that Haidt describes, is an open and clean information environment.  How to achieve this is, in his words, a "wicked" problem.
