There's been a lot of other changes since 2007, especially to social media landscapes. It's weird that they're "blaming" the iPhone, when really it's just the tool people use to access these other things that have changed the way we interact in our day-to-day lives.
Want to hear something utterly mind-blowing? There are young adults--I'm talking university age--who don't know how to talk on the phone. They've only used text messaging their whole lives. They have absolutely no frame of reference for telephone etiquette.
