I'm Very Online and no one in the usual circles I look to for this stuff knew or cared.
Anyway I watched his monologue and it was boring as hell. Whereas he used to have lots to stay about a lot of things, he's now just a Cancel Culture Comic and no one cares about that stuff. Even his stuff about Ye and Kyrie Irving reminded me of this:
Yeah, I agree. But it's interesting to hear him check in on his "controversial" views... in a way. I mean, I want to hear his rationale for saying things like "Hollywood is full of Jews" etc. I *DO* think that there are things that are true, are not "racist" but remain unsaid and I guess I just like to check in on what's up...
The flip side is Hannah Gadsby's "standup" about how she is/was bullied and LGBTQ people deserve empathy. Yep, interesting, I agree. Not funny either.
Louis CK is still kind of funny and does this better than those two. Also he touches on more interesting material, such as discrimination against ugly/fat people which is also not talked about. "Because we are all fat"
And then there are those I can't watch because they are pure evil. I used to love love love Cosby and now I don't want to see a picture of his face even.
