What do you do in your home to get organized with your family or by yourself ?

Family to-do lists on the fridge ?
Google Calendars shared by all ?
Budget spreadsheet on email ?

Move more than a few hundred KM. That will get you organized.

I use checklists and a note pad on my phone which is super handy. When i realize i need something at the store i immediately write it down on my shopping list so i dont forget.  I also use my phone's calendar to schedule like most people.

What is actually handy is having a little felt pen erasable board on the fridge or the wall in the kitchen so everyone in the house can write down food they want as they think of it or as we run out of it so when it's time to go shopping it's much easier to remember.

You know what is great to organize is those big plastic bags you can put unused clothing or bedding, towels etc in and then there's a valve where you hook up your vacuum and suck all the air out, it saves an amazing amount of space for storage with all the air removed:  https://www.containerstore.com/s/closet/storage-and-hanging-bags/ziploc-space-bags/12d?productId=10000165

Live in a tiny place with almost no storage and it's amazing how much of your own stuff you don't actually use or need.

You mean move homes ?

Well you tend to throw out a lot of stuff you don't need or want to pack.

You'd think.

Well, we moved end of April and did throw out a lot but not enough I suppose.  And the accumulation game now continues.  With one change: we now buy as well as SELL THINGS online.  That's helping.

But back to the OP - what org tools you got ?

Why would you need more than 1 or 2? haha.

People describe going a trip with a young child is like going camping with all the stuff you feel you have to bring.

As an side, i think those multi seat strollers you see daycare workers or "busy" moms pushing are neat and hilarious.  Wtf did people with big families do hundreds of years ago?

As another aside it's amazing how strong a parents' dominant arm will get by carrying around a young kid in one arm all the time while doing other stuff with the other arm.

Story of Stroller 1: Double stroller given to us by close friends who know my wife is a pack rat.  Initially she thought it ridiculous and wanted to give it away.  Now she says she may use it, as the current stroller is too small for all the **** she carts around.

Story of Stroller 2: THE stroller.  The gift from our baby shower.  Prolly worth $1000.  Deluxe and has a car seat so you don't have to move him to another seat when you put him in the car.  Kind of heavy but not a double.

Story of Stroller 3: Cheap stroller for sale online.  Very light and easy to use for neighbourhood walks.  We were supposed to start using it more

Story of Stoller 4: Jogging stroller

Camping with a child August weekend. It was the local burningmahn thing.  Crazy difficult.  Van full of stuff.  Diapers.

They beat and neglected their children as we all should be doing.
