Nothing to do with Aberta mate.  You should try my Blue Cheese Guacamole.

I do everything else you mentioned too, home made and pure, apart from the seafood, which would probably make me chuck.  But it did that in England too.

I've lived most of my life so far on one coast or the other, or the other. Hard to ignore the seafood. Pulling Arctic char out of Minto Inlet was fun and tasty.

OMG Arctic Char is one of my faves and it's been so long since I had it......  **drool **

It's been a while for me as well. The time I refer to was the first time I had the pleasure. We cooked some right there on the shore and then  took some home to freeze. Pulling a drunken Mayor Ralph Klein out of the water also made the trip interesting, but that's another story.

What is the flavour of black ice cream?  Licorice?

I tried bacon ice cream once - not a fan.

I didn't eat it.  It was black.  Like goth clothes.  The line up at the CNE was redonkeylous.

What a shitty year.

Couldn't we invent a new kind of pizza, or chocolate or coffee ?  Instead we have Andrew Jackson II and horrible food.

Don't you dare compare the current fucktard to Andrew Jackson.  At least Andrew Jackson had the courage to face his adversaries man-to-man and shoot, or be shot, by them, and often both. It was said that he'd been shot so many times he rattled like a bag of marbles when he coughed. If he couldn't put a musket-ball in their chest, he'd put his mitts upon their throat or his hickory cane upside their head. He may have been an ****, but he was an **** with the courage of his convictions.  The current guy? Not so much.

If there's one food trend I've gotten into this year, I think it's probably raw tuna.  Tuna poke', tuna crudo, etc.

If I tried to make my own raw tuna dishes, people would no doubt end up at the hospital getting their stomachs pumped. But when I dine out, I find myself enjoying raw tuna dishes.
