The Jets picked the absolute worst time to go on a losing skid.  Hellebuyck has been mediocre in the last month, while the offence has had problems.  After a disappointing home stand, Winnipeg will now embark on a 4 game road trip against 3 of the best 4 teams in the East Conference.

Winnipeg's only hope is for Hellebuyck to return to Vezina Trophy calibre play, and for Nashville and Calgary to choke.
The Jets are the dirtiest team in the league.  It looks good in them.

Leafs completely throttled the Boilers last night.  Big win, considering Edmonton was playing much better as of late.  Mitch Marner is a hockey god.  He was the best player on the ice last night.

Funny how the West sucks until the Queefs get a win (while still giving up four softies). The cope is real.

The Bedard sweepstake's are heating up.  Chicago, Columbus, Montreal, Philadelphia, and San Jose have been brutal this month.  Arizona and Vancouver are so inept, that they are actually winning games.  They should really look at sending the starting goalie to the minors and bring up an unproven ECHL goalie.

Here it stands:

1. Columbus 49 (25.5% chance of winning lottery)
2. San Jose 53 (13.5%)
3. Chicago 54  (11.5%)
4. Anaheim 55  (9.5%)
5. Montreal 60  (8.5%)
6. Philadelphia 62  (7.5%)
7. Arizona 65  (6.5%)
8. Vancouver 67  (6.0%)
9. St.Louis 67  (5.0%)
10. Detroit 73  (3.5%)
11. Washington 72  (3.0%)

Thoughts:

I don't want to see him in Columbus (never cared for them), but he could play with Gaudreau and Laine

San Jose? Nah. They are in a rebuild, but will the Bay area get excited for hockey?

Chicago would be a perfect fit.  Toews can mentor him, and this would turn the franchise around.

Anaheim?  No.  Small insignificant US market that will not care.

Montreal? My first choice. Bedard would be the first superstar forward since Guy Lafleur.

Philadelphia? Maybe. I enjoyed the Flyers 90s run with Lindros.

Arizona? HELL NO

Vancouver?  Sure.  I'm sure Bedard would love to play for his hometown.

Detroit? Hell yeah!  However it is a very longshit. However, Bedard can help the WIngs return to glory after a decade of mediocrity.

Washington would be cool if only to see Bedard and OVechkin on the same line.

I can't imagine the league wants him in Columbus or anywhere in Canada. California or Arizona for sure.

60 goals for McDavid now and he's on pace for 157 points which would be the best single season total by anyone not named Mario or Wayne.

This is a big day for the Jets.  They are clinging on to the final playoff spot.  Nashville and Calgary are in pursuit.

Today games:

Seattle at Nashville
Vegas at Calgary
Winnipeg at Anaheim.

I really hope Hellebuyck bails out the Jets,  Technically we should defeat Anaheim.

Panthers' Eric and Marc Staal latest NHLers to refuse to wear Pride jerseys

I didn't even know these guys were still in the league lmao. You'd think all these clowns were being asked to suck a bunch of dudes off at centre ice the way they're acting about this corporate pink washing exercise.

It’s almost as though players don’t like to be used as political pawns.  I’d love to see woke a$$holes try this in the NFL or the NBA. 😂

Most recent Oiler to hit 50: McDavid.
Most recent before McDavid: Draisaitl, a couple of times including last year.
Most recent before Draisaitl: Craig Simpson, back in the late 1980s.

Well, if there's one thing everybody here can agree on, it's **** the Flames.

Why don't the Staal brothers just shut up and play hockey?
Why doesn't Colin Kaepernick just shut up and play football?
Why doesn't JK Rowling just shut up and write books?
Why don't the Dixie Chicks just shut up and play their songs?
Why doesn't Gina Carano just shut up and get paid?
( ...etc.)

I feel like for many people, their feelings on some famous person expressing their views or their conscience is entirely contingent on whether they agree with that person.

Personally I support them, and James Reimer, and apparently the entire Blackhawks organization, in saying "no thanks".

Oh.

Well, I guess it's all just one big slippery slope then, and we should all just obey our betters.

You missed the point of course.

Who said anything about a slippery slope? Or for that matter, who said the Staals and Reamer and whomever should “shut up and play?”

Why are they allowed to express their opinions but no one else is? People are shitting on these guys (and rightfully so especially after it came out that Eric had no issue wearing a Pride night jersey in warmies last season) and that’s their right, is it not?

But to circle back, the idea that people only criticize famous people who they disagree with is so utterly banal as to be completely meaningless.

Well said.  Unless this is specifically part of the collective bargaining agreement, the league and the teams have no recourse to force anyone to wear these political statements under the guise of wokie diversity, etc.  Hockey players, nor anybody else is required to validate who somebody decides to have sex with.  It’s insanity that we’re in this position anyways.  Woke a$$holes are obsessed with validation from everyone.
