I don't know.  I haven't seen the label either.  I just can't imagine it's good.  And then there's the acrylamides.

I just quit smoking again.  I am going to the gym with wife.

Go.  Away.

My philosophy on cheap junk food:  do not read label, assume its composed of a variety slow acting poisons.  Often this discourages me from buying it, though may also encourage me to buy more expensive junk food which I can tell myself originated from some form of real food and is therefore "healthier".   The mind games we play!  :)

This is the thanks I get for being concerned.

I hope you slip on the treadmill.

I hear groceries are going up.

I haven't noticed a BIG bump in prices, but sale prices are not as amazing as usual.

What is more expensive now ?

------

Best deals on food in our house, currently:

Lavazza coffee - seems cheap AND high end ?
Crumpets - good price and somehow fancy or am I just common ?
Bananas - bulk nature sugar at a fair price
Costco meat dishes, of which I should eat less
Raisin Bran - huge box provides sweetness + fibre
Wafer cookies - eat sparingly and save
New Coke Zero Sugar - 6-pack of 750 ml bottles, you can get on sale $4.99
Frozen Fish dinner - $9.99 for 2 full meals
Whatever produce is on sale this week

We never skimp on milk or eggs - always organic, free range etc.

I definitely notice the hike.  My weekly bill is around $200 now for next to nothing.  It was $150 not too long ago.

I was looking at my budget from 10 years ago the other day (please don't judge) and my grocery budget was $400/month.

My wages certainly didn't double in this time.

It's hard for me to tell.  We have switched to cheaper stores, changed brands, habits.

Also we supplement with the occasional Costco buy.

Also... Try to only buy things on sale.

And use Flipp... All the time.... To alert yourself on sales for expensive things...
