Google Culture

First of all, if you like old radio, I'd like to introduce you to X Minus One:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP2VUuEvoIk

This show represents a 1950s imagining of what Google would do to society.  The premise, however flawed, is that they would have to prevent people from methods of murder without trace, or everyone would murder their enemies.  It's done for comedic effect but is telling about how people viewed society and technology.

The other thing I like about Google is using it for games or sociological lookups.  Some examples:

-start typing something and see how it completes the search.  ex. "Hillary Clinton is..."
-try to find two words that do not appear together anywhere on the web.  Try it, it's difficult. Xylophone bark sundae has 65K hits: https://www.google.ca/search?q=xylophone+bark+sundae&rlz=1C1CHBF_enCA711CA712&oq=xylophone+bark+sundae&aqs=chrome..69i57.9347j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Doesn't really belong here, but an interesting article possible related to Google Books:

If you ever wonder why old classics talk about characters with a child in their anus...
