There was an interesting one I found that I read some of (wasn't boring, I just don't finish books sometimes) called "The dictator's handbook: How Bad Behavior is Almost Always Good Politics" by Bruce Bueno de Mesquita and Alastair Smith. I think it's based on a larger, more academic work called "The logic of Political Survival".
