I don;t think there's anything wrong with addressing it. I think the controversy is around the use of hormones and surgery.
What does it matter to
you though? Let people navigate their personal health issues with their medical professionals who are highly educated on the subject. When, why, and how someone transitions really has no effect on your life whatsoever.
