Speaking of Japan, I always have on hand seaweed wraps, pickled ginger, rice wine vinegar, wasabi, and all the other basics for a sushi. Then when the spirit hits you it's just a matter of deciding what to go get whether it be tuna, smoked salmon, fish roe, cucumber, carrots, or all of the above. A little warm Saki on the side doesn't hurt either.
