That’s still my all-time favourite.
If you’d like a good “value” scotch that has a sherry cask finish, try Glen Garioch 12 year old. We get it here for 62 bucks.
Prices are different all over Canada. I'll have to check it out.
I recently picked up anCnoc 12 and Glenkinchie 12. If you want some good value scotches that aren't peaty/smoky these were a tasty pickups.
I absolutely love the peat/smoke ones, so Ardbeg Uigeadail is my jam. I love how you take a sip and the oily smoke lingers for about 10 mins on your palate. Laphroaig Quarter Cask was also a decent peat smoke one for a more affordable price than the oogy.
