So there are some exceptions to this commandment?
Haha it’s not a commandment. You should generally only shake things with citrus or egg in them. They say gin bruises, so I joke that only animals shake gin. But I can’t tell much of a difference. It loses some of its punch. Tastes almost flat when you shake it. Kind of like wine that’s been open and sitting in the fridge a couple days. But who cares, really? Do what you like. I just think if you follow the rules when you’re learning, you’ll a) make generally better drinks, and b) be able to tell more quickly when drinks are “off” or god forbid, bad.
