1. I agree with choices.
2. Quantity of culture has increased, this brings positives and negatives. Quality of culture has also changed i agree, again in some ways this has been a good improvement and some ways it's been bad.
3. Technology. Easier and cheaper to travel than ever, so much to do in the world, more than ever. Technology brings more kinds of communication, the internet, smartphones. Obviously there's social and psychological and environment downsides to technology too.
Most everything has good and bad qualities to them. Change means adding means good and bad things to society that wasn't there before, while removing good and bad things that used to be there in favour of the new thing added.
Ie: Better food technology has meant positives like bigger crop yields, cheaper & more varied food, less hunger/famine in the world and less malnutrition. These new tech have also introduced negatives like destruction of natural grassland habitats, polluting waterways & air, cancer/disease from pesticides, unhealthy additives in food, alarming increases in obesity/heart disease/diabetes etc.
When there are changes the trick is to add the positives of the new thing while mitigating the negative effects, and when removing something old trying to keep some of the positives in the older ways while removing the negatives. I think we've embraced a lot of the positives of new additions to our society, but have largely ignored and thus failed in mitigating the negatives, while also erasing some of the positives society had in the "older ways".
