I guess saying storming the capital sounds better than riot, which it was.  A riot of several hundred unarmed people.  I’m not saying it wasn’t newsworthy, but the prime time weekly hearings that went on for months was a bit over the top.

Trump orchestrated a coup, to undermine democracy, to hold on to power. Anything less than life imprisonment is unacceptable.

If they fail to punish Trump, it will happen again.

Jan 6 seemed pretty important.  A POTUS undermining elections and the storming of capital buildings trying to stop election results and all.

Now 2016 to before the 2020 election period was sure filled with a whole lot of BS on the news though.  Wouldn't call that purposeful social control though, just ratings and clickbait angertainment (trademark MH).

MH are you the creator of the term "angertainment" or did you get it from somewhere else?

It wasn't just a riot.  They had political goals.

The prime time slot was used as theater, but an investigation was needed.

Trump made an oath to defend the constitution.  What he did was worse than Nixon, which was bad.

I started using it on my own.  Didn't see it written elsewhere.

I didn’t say an investigation wasn’t needed, but the vast majority of people at the riot had no political goals.  That’s why most people were charged with trespassing.  It still doesn’t mean that the evening prime time monthly hearings that went on for a hate wasn’t used to distract.  It was a great distraction and still is.  I laugh my ass off every time I hear somebody describe it as a coup.  As if a few hundred unarmed people could over throw the United States. 😂
But the propaganda serves its purpose.  Distract people and make them forget that they can’t afford to buy a house of rent.  Make them forget about the hundred billions that have been sent to Ukraine.  Make them forget that they can’t afford to eat, or the lies they were told during covid, or the crime that’s skyrocketed, or the hundred thousand migrants crossing the border.  Hey keep looking at Trump and his “coup”!

It was a coup.  A lame coup, but a coup.  The crowd tried to stop the election vote confirmation because they wanted the results overturned.  They were looking for Pelosi and Pence inside the building.  Trump wanted the results overturned.  He sued until high-heaven to get them overturned based on false claims.  He tried to convince the Georgia GOP Secretary of State to "find more votes" in his favour.  He made a speech about false claims of "fraud" on the day of the election confirmation on the lawn of the Capital Building, denouncing Pence for confirming the results in front of a crowd of followers with people setting up gallows with a noose for Pence, calling him a traitor and falsely claiming he won the election.

The main distraction was Trump making up lies to deflect from his loss and subvert the democratic results because he's a sore loser & a dictator POS.

Why weren't you arrested? You were on the record posting "burn it down!" while the riot was happening. Kind of weird, isn't it?

Nonsense.  Most people were there to protest.  It’s not much different than when a group of left wing protesters tried to stop a vote on a Supreme Court nominee.  Christ, 911 hearings weren’t as long and weren’t televised in prime time, and 3000 Americans died, not one unarmed woman. Btw, why isn’t Ray Epps being arrested?  He’s on video telling people to go into the capital building the night before and the next day?  Don’t you think that’s weird?  Also, if it was a coup attempt, why is almost everybody charged with trespassing?

Protest what, exactly?  PROTEST WHAT?????

If you lived in DC would you have been on that lawn?  Got carried away too and followed the nutters inside the building?

If Supreme Court protestors stormed inside the SCOTUS to stop a nomination that's more than a protest or a riot.  A riot is flipping over cars and burning stuff.

Definition of a coup:  "a sudden, violent, and unlawful seizure of power from a government."

They wanted to stop the nomination so it could be overturned and given to Trump illegally.  They wanted Pence (who was just doing his job & following the constitution) out because he was going to confirm the nomination that afternoon.  The totality of what Trump and the protestors did leading up to and on Jan 6 was a sudden, violent, unlawful attempt at seizure of government power.

Trump swore an oath to defend the constitution.  He broke the oath.

Looks like this person used it one month before me.

No, because satire isn’t a crime.  Even though you’d like it to be.
Keep your day job, such as it is.

Don't worry, I still think you're the inventor.  Seriously!

Well ... I may have used it earlier but I don't have a timestamp...

In case you're not following... looking more and more like the Shop Teacher in Halton is an anti-woke....

NY Post got a picture of HIM going out for shopping looking very much like the "normal guy" many have suspected he is....

And now "they" claim that the breasts are not prosthetic but real....

So this is turning out to be a tale of someone gaming the system.   Do we all shrug and walk away now ?  Or can we maybe consider that paying less attention to trolls might be a good idea ?

I think most of us suspected it for awhile....

But it means that - essentially - a prankster enraged the angersphere against trans people, though he was essentially one of them...

I think its a pretty successful troll.  He made an exaggerated satirical rack with giant nipples and paralyzed a school board over their own political correctness.  Normally someone doing this would likely be fired, but they can't....

People were going to test limits eventually anyways.
