Oh look, the expert in cultural behavior and the motives of everyone else in the world has no answer when it comes to a white guy committing an horrific crime against a young girl.

Cut his dick off. Why the **** should I care? I'm the law and order conservative. If it were up to me crimes, especially crimes of violence, would be harshly punished in all instances. The reason sentences are light across the board is because of you **** progressives who always feel so sorry for criminals.

The only reason you're even bringing this up is because of the discussion over Muslim gang **** and child molesting in the Muslim topic, and your continuing refusal to acknowledge there is any relationship between the misogyny of the Muslim world and Muslim migrants and their behaviour towards women in the West.

In that other thread I suggested that sexual abuse as a topic could be discussed, and cultural reasons be addressed as part of that discussion.  And then I thought I would start the ball rolling.  I happen to be honestly curious about whether there are significant differences in types and manner of sexual crimes between cultures and if there is significant differences in number of assaults in Western countries based on ethnicity.   If you bothered to look at all my links, you will notice that non-white perpetrators are represented as well as white.  Heck, one of them even has PICTURES of bad guys, one of your preferred forms of "proof".

I understand if you don't want to be a part of the discussion, but you don't need to **** it up with your angry old-man swearing, name calling, shouting and ranting.   Go away, and let any adults who are interested in the topic discuss it.

For those of us in that system, we came to know which ethnic communities had what levels of sex assault or pedophilia or incest and how each community covered it up often through religious clergy thinking
they were helping by hiding it.

I would be very interested in your experience here.

Is that just "iyo", or do you have any empirical evidence to support it? I don't know one way or the other, and certainly see these a vile individuals, but wouldn't an evidence based approach be the right way to proceed?

I have to modify my statement from "almost impossible" to "difficult" to rehabilitate sexual offenders.  But anyway, here's some info.

If sex offenders are offered best-practice treatment, research suggests we can reduce rates of reoffending by up to 50%. This is significant and can obviously help many potential victims avoid being abused. But older forms of treatment have little effect.

Unfortunately, treatment is a challenging process for offenders and can take up to two years to complete, which is evaluated by them demonstrating an understanding of the material as well as making changes in their lives accordingly. Therefore, not everyone gets through treatment.

In 2012, a major review of sex offender treatment programs concluded that for a regimen that has been imposed on so many prisoners, there had not been nearly enough research proving its worth. No one has done studies rigorous enough to prove that it's useless either, though ó and that lack of data is a real problem. "Not only could this result in the continued use of ineffective (and potentially harmful) interventions, but it also means that society is lured into a false sense of security in the belief that once the individual has been treated, their risk of reoffending is reduced," the authors wrote. "Current available evidence does not support this belief."

Sex crimes researchers R. Karl Hanson and Kelly E. Morton-Bourgon of Public Safety Canada conducted a large-scale meta-analysis (quantitative review) of recidivism rates among adult sex offenders. They found a rate of 14 percent over a period averaging five to six years. Recidivism rates increased over time, reaching 24 percent by 15 years. The figures are clearly out of alignment with the publicís more dire expectations.
