I was in my kitchen in Victoria one time working toward a nice supper featuring one of the coho's I had brought home from a fishing trip to the Charlotte's. The chat with me and m'lady roamed around to her saying that this two story wood house we lived in shakes some times when there is a gust of wind. I was just bending down with my freshly whetted fillet knife when there was a shake. She said "see, I told you". I looked out the kitchen window and there wasn't enough wind to slightly rattle a leaf on the pear tree that sits right there. Turned on the news and found it was a 3 point something centered in Seattle that caused a few cans to fall off the shelves in grocery stores. So then she said "well what if we had a bigger quake up here". I said well then we would have a one story house and then as we get older we won't have to climb stairs to go to bed. It wasn't the first time she just shook her head. Luckily the salmon turned out good.
