Had a few good shakes when I was in Japan. Sure gets your heart rate up because you don't know what is coming next. Nothing like this though. Anchorage really got hammered in 64. The Tsunami did a lot of damage in Port Alberni on Vancouver Island. Anchorage is in a bad spot. I arrived there a few days after a Mt Spurr eruption covered the whole place in ash back in 92. They call it ash but it's more like ground glass.
