I think this is getting too much attention but apparently this guy is a big hero in the Black community ?
If it's getting too much attention now that the police have declared it a hoax, you ought to also agree that it got too much attention before it was declared a hoax, right? This incident was used to push a political narrative and now the people who were falsely smeared are going to have their pound of flesh.
This Smollett incident is very similar to the hijab hoax we had here in Canada last year. Some people jumped on board because it carried a political narrative they supported and were predisposed to believe.
