https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/workers-over-40-perform-best-with-three-day-week-25-hours-melbourne-institute-study-a6988921.htmlI believe in shorter work weeks as you get older.I'm thinking of using part of my holiday and personal days next summer to just work 4 days/week. Next year I get bumped up to 4 weeks, instead of 3 weeks/year.Is Alberta the only province who is still just giving 2 weeks/year at a job? I negotiated for the extra week when I started here.
I am assuming it's 2 in BC as well... I got 2 weeks when I started my current job. I get 3 weeks when I have been with them for 5 years. -k
When I worked in Germany in the 80's, there was a 6 week vacation for everyone - period. That is a big part of the reason their economy booms.
Actually I have known people who worked in Europe and say that there is very little wasted time at work.
Because of the low productivity ? Actually I have known people who worked in Europe and say that there is very little wasted time at work. It makes sense that they have to use peoples' time wisely.
Yes, two weeks minimum for full time employees in BC. My last private sector job offered three weeks from the start, and a flex day every two weeks. I have been lucky in my employers.
