Yes, I remember the 80's where Brewster's Millions seemed impossible and Barenaked Ladies sang "If I had a Million Dollars".
It's not inflation either, 1 million in 1985 = 2.15 million today. It's purchasing power that's gone down, especially given today's housing market.
