Environmentalists are not anti-business. We know we need business for jobs, a good economy, comfortable lives. We are simply opposed to businesses that damage the environment and the ecosystems that sustain human life.
If we are draining every last resource and damaging and destroying the environment and human lives, that is not sustainable business, not a sustainable economy, not a sustainable society.

So no more natural resources industry. That's about 650k direct jobs and most of our exports.

We need entrepreneurs and businesses with a better approach, developing businesses for the future that are sustainable economically, environmentally and in terms of their humanity toward employees and social responsibility to their communities.

Yoga studios and natural health food stores?

Now who could ever really disagree with that very balanced, very Canadian ideal?

The millions of Canadians who depend on the industries you don't approve of for a living?

Greens are not 'left' or 'right'.
They are not ideologically based, but reality based.
They are the most balanced 'centrist' Party we have.

We're talking about the party that recently tore itself apart because it's leader wasn't saying bad things about Israel? The party which just produced a report about the terrible levels of racism and transphobia among its core supporters? The same core supporters who elected a black woman as leader? The party that wants the government to ban evictions of those who don't pay their rent, and for the government to pay the arrears instead?

Doesn't sound very centrist to me. Sounds kind of out there on the left.
