Conservative principles on display
« on: November 15, 2017, 11:57:29 pm »
Conservative MP and hero shows what Conservative principles are all about.

“Legalizing marijuana is like legalizing murder” said Conservative MP Fantino.

Now, Fantino has gotten into the marijuana selling business.  What a scumbag hypocrite.

Quote
Julian Fantino, a former Ontario Provincial Police commissioner and Conservative veterans affairs minister, cut the ribbon for his new business Tuesday with his partner, former RCMP deputy commissioner Raf Souccar.

Aleafia Total Health Network bills itself as a company that will connect patients to the "most effective product" for them and will work with universities and producers to research medical applications of the drug.

The only principle that seems to count is making a buck...   so I wonder if he was just following orders when he compared marijuana to murder, or if he’s changed his mind because he can make money.... ?

 Seems to highlight conservative principles.

“Legalizing marijuana is like legalizing murder” said Conservative MP Fantino.

Personally I've come to suspect that the cops say stuff like that because they need to justify their budget, not because they actually believe it.

That said, maybe he's had a genuine change of heart on the issue.

It’s a coincidence that he’s had a change of heart at the exact moment he can make a buck on it?   Hmmmm....   :P

I don't like to doubt people's character... but somebody at that age, and that level of responsibility changing SO drastically that they think it's ok to make money from it ?

Conservatives in SW Ontario thought Fantino screwed them on the native occupation at Douglas Estates, I think, due to opportunism.  Checks out.

Fantino is the first person who caused me to donate money to a politician. I donated to the liberal in that riding in hopes he wouldn't win. He was a disaster as a cop and has been a disaster as a politician. That Harper allowed him to run in order to guarantee a win in his riding (full of Italians) was another aspect of his practical nature overruling conservatism.  That happened all too often with Harper, unfortunately.

To describe his actions as 'conservative principles on display' is, of course, the mark of the far left ideologue, and worthy of nothing but contempt.

I agree with you that Fantino does not represent all conservatives and to insult all conservatives on such flimsy 'evidence' is wrong.

We have to like our Conservatives more than American Conservatives.  We don't have to like Fantino.

I don't think quoting something stupid a certain conservative says is an all-encompassing example of that ideology's principles, if that's even possible.

I think it more highlights the principles of politicians, who are mostly opportunistic scumbags.

When the Conservative in question was hand-picked by the Chief Conservative and held up to be the paragon of Conservative principles by leadership and supporters alike, then there is something to the fact that these Conservative principles are either severely flawed, or the COnservatives themselves are hypocrite scumbags...   either way....   (large ‘C’)

1) Agree
2) Disagree

This doesn't represent the group any more than terrorism or **** does.
