Justin’s now got truckers protesting.  Get ready for major supply chain problems.  Branch Covidians would rather burn society to the ground than allow somebody autonomy over their own body.

waldo note to the {perpetually} misinformed: the federal carbon pricing fuel charge is not applied in British Columbia! Notwithstanding the current rise in B.C. gas pump prices is being influenced by:
hey now member Plugs, for those provinces where federal carbon pricing is applied... care to describe who gets federal rebate monies?

The BC carbon tax is the same as the federal tax, that's why there is no federal carbon tax in BC. GVRD fuel taxes are also very high.

A big problem in BC is refinery capacity, we refine less than 50% of what we use, the rest comes from Alberta and the US. Mostly Alberta.

LOL! What you referred to as a, "significant amount"

winners WIN... losers LAMENT!

hey now waldo, do you have the numbers? Why yes... yes I do:
=> in the 2021 election, the popular vote difference was, wait for it, wait for it... ~186,000 votes! The amount member Plugs refers to as, "a significant amount"!
=> that's in an election where Elections Canada states 17,209,000 ballots were cast.
=> key to that popular vote difference were the results from the provinces of Alberta & Saskatchewan.

of course! The waldo was impressing the point for the benefit of the perpetually misinformed (as in member 'Brandon') who incorrectly put up a graphic of Vancouver pump prices in the/his context of the federal carbon tax!

Shoot, I forgot, you people only care about the popular vote when a Republican is involved. 😂
Is Justin 1 for 3 in popular vote?  Is it true that in the last 2 elections, more Canadians preferred another PM?  Is that some kind of record?  Just wondering.

I live in the Fraser valley, not in the GVRD. Right now prices are around 1.60. They were 1.68 a week ago.

Looks like they also around 1.60 in Squidland. Low 1.50's in Kim City but they get a lot of their product directly from Alberta, not via the TransMountain like the lower mainland and Island.

Come’ on man, don’t you know these prices are necessary so that China can continue to belch out record levels of CO2 every year?  It also helps fuel (pun intended) the outsourcing of jobs.  It’s win-win, if you’re President Xi.

A big problem is refining capacity in BC. Just over half of the existing TransMountain capacity goes to refineries in Washington State.

I don't know how taxing Canadians is going to reduce consumption in China but that's the world we live in.

I am not a fan of Trudeau.

But, I do recognize there is a world of difference between a 2 party system (as the U.S. virtually is) and the multi-party system that we have in Canada, where individual ridings typically have more than 2 viable parties.
