As the call hadn’t been made yet, it seems the response is also pre scripted.

Like I said, someone released a draft ahead of time. They knew what Trudeau planned to say, as they knew the agenda for the call. It was nothing but incompetence.

This is a non-scandal.  Someone made a draft email and accidentally sent it.  Parties crap on opposing parties many times every single day.

Junior has completely failed Canadians.  His lack of action regarding vaccine procurement is unacceptable.  He needs to resign and let somebody have the job that knows what the f**k they’re doing.

How the Liberals are bungling the vaccine endgame

Instead of racing to get Canadians a vaccine—any working vaccine during a pandemic—the Trudeau government is more interested in giving a leg up to Canadian industry. Incredibly Health Canada, which should be in charge of the vaccine drive, has been sidelined, to the point where it punts even basic questions about that effort to Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED).

...

On current schedule, the first phase 1 study may complete in April 2021, likely meaning that phase 3 (if it happens) would continue into 2022.
In other words: instead of placing orders with experienced, world-leading vaccine firms nearing the finish line of phase 3 trials—the surest, quickest way out of the pandemic, the Trudeau government is backing less experienced Canadian upstarts who are no further along than phase 1, in the hope that their baby steps succeed to rescue us.

Trudeaus' dumb ass is going to be responsible for thousands more Canadian deaths, that could've been prevented, as well as tens of billions in economic damage, as the economy won't be fully opened again until late 2021 if we're lucky.  Probably middle of 2022.

member Shady - glad to see you've recovered from the loser Trump... loosing!

by the by, your trollish lame-assed links to a most dated August article are easily Trumped by posts detailing the full extent of what the Liberal government has done concerning signed vaccine agreements and initiatives toward re-building domestic capability that disappeared during the Harper years! If you'd like to dance further please do so in that covid related thread - thanks in advance.

I did a quick scan over the McLean's article but didn't find the direct criticism of Trudeau. Can you quote the intent of that article for us?
It doesn't appear to be in the opening paragraph? Or is it?

That would be the people at places like Pfizer, Moderna, Fed-Ex, Shoppers Drug-Mart etc etc.  They've been working on how to distribute vaccine for months and have been getting vaccine into the hands and arms of people year after year for decades now.

Funny how you expect the government to provide you information you can find on your own. So what if we had a circle on a calendar, you and the O'Tooles of the world will still be crapping in your pants that Ottawa's hiding something by not revealing the exact time of day.

Complete nonsense.  There is no plan for vaccines.  The UK just approved the Pfizer vaccine.  When’s Junior gonna get around to it?  When are we getting doses?

Because only the government can approve its use.  So yeah, the government is in control of me getting my hands on the vaccine.  Stop making excuses for Junior.

The biggest problem is that Junior was late agreeing to purchases with vaccine makers.  Other countries got to it first.  Now we’re in a waiting game, getting only scraps left over from the initial production.  The Trump administration ran circles around Junior.

Thanks. Is there a paragraph in the McLean's piece that makes that point?
I would like to take a closer look at it to see how they make that claim.

That's right, approval is not procurement.

Stop making excuses for Junior.
I'm not, start keeping your story straight. If Conservatives have legitimate concerns with the slow pace of approvals then say so. If they want Trudeau to interfere in the approval process they should say so but if they simply want to come up with ill-informed bullshit expect to be called on it.

You need to stop assuming anyone who doesn't immediately join you in attacking someone is automatically defending that person.  This is strictly about the ill-informed bullshit. You know full well I don't and won't vote for Liberals so **** off with your characterization of me as water-boy for Trudeau while you're carrying bullshit for O'Toole.
