True.  I still remember the praise he heaped on Castro when he died.  I guess some authoritarians are better than others.

Not a great fan of Castro but:

I wonder what Cuba would be like today without nearly 60 years of the US trying to destroy its economy. I wonder what Castro might have been like without the US doing whatever it could to get rid of him, including attempted assassination and sponsoring an invasion. I wonder when the US will just **** off and let Cubans run their country as they see fit. People said the regime would collapse after it lost sponsorship of the Soviet Union in 89. 33 years later it is still there in spite of all US attempts to get rid of it. Maybe there is a reason for that.
