She wasn’t forced to go anywhere.... they never made her leave, or held her to account. She resigned with all the honours and $$$ that go with the position.
She essentially said “there’s a place for racists like me in the Government of Canada”, giving most of Canada the middle finger while doing so. And, sadly, I guess she was right.

In December, Sen. Mary Jane McCallum advanced a motion seeking a Senate first: having Beyak permanently removed. The motion was tabled but had not yet been debated before the Senate adjourned for the holidays and they were going to discuss it next week.
