Why? You had the same opportunities as I did, didn't you? I was working as a busboy at sixteen, having dropped out of high school in grade 9.
Because I don't give money the value others do. It has never made sense to me to 'save' money. Beyond having 3grand in my bank for when the furnace finally breaks down. But beyond that? Nope. Waste of money.
Just in case you may think I am lamenting my current state, I am not. I have designed my expenses and life to get along fine. The result is I have never been happier. I wouldn't want it any other way. I don't buy lottery tickets for the sole reason of WTF would I do if I won? I'd be dead in a week.
But I'm not you and your not me.

Well FYI I DON'T think others who don't should starve. That doesn't mean I think they should be eating steak either.

They aren't, unless we're talking about boneless blade.

you, meanwhile, are impoverished, but donate money. Is that generosity or just a continuing indication that money is not something you've ever been very good in budgeting or handling?

But, point was, perhaps my supposed generosity is because i don't know what budgeting is or, maybe, I don't have the same value system you do.

Or maybe it's not about value systems but about foresight and planning as opposed to 'what the hell. What happens, happens.'
Having money is not simply about having better stuff. Money takes care of a lot of life's problems that you can't take care of very easily when you're poor.
